MOA recently constructed a 500m new build section of machine built path in the Cairngorms, the above photograph shows the original damage zone 5-7m in places. Using as raised aggregate material the path was raised up and the ditches turf lined to prevent further scour, natural stone drainage features were also installed. The second photograph shows the success of the new path line, reducing erosion it has blended in extremely well.

MOA were awarded a contract to renew the de-grading 3k path within the Cairngorms National Park. Work began in August on the upper section where all materials were won on site, the above photo shows the sensitive approach leaving a narrow line dressed with turf to prevent loss of habitat in the old damage zone 3-4m in width. Work is set to begin on the lower section at the end of September, stone for drainage is being airlifted in as there is a lack of rock on site. COAT project manager Boyd Henderson said "the new path has blended in beautifully and we are extremely pleased with the workmanship and sensitive approach of MOA".

The original building at the Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve car park was removed last year and the car park is now being moved to a better location. MOA were awarded a contract to facilitate footpaths from the new carpark to Ben Lawers and Tarmachen.
Work was done sensitively using upland path techniques with 3-7t machines. The route followed contours along the burn to detract the view of the newly constructed path. Locally won on site materials were used and the environmental impact was minimal.
