Lowland Paths


MOA worked along with another contractor to construct the eagerly awaited link from the Portsoy road to Huntly. The path included traffic management as the path was adjacent to the road, using imported materials the path was held by rock revetment on the downhill side. On completion the community are extremely pleased as behind the scene work to get this project done have been on going for nearly 10 years.

Lowland Paths

We construct lowland paths both by machine and hand build methods. Ranging from facilitating spatial behaviours such as dog walking and short family walks, to the West Highland and Speyside Way. We use a wide range of machinery from 1.5t-13t excavators and dumpers to suite different locations. A recent example of this construction method is the Dulnain Bridge riverside path. We also construct bridges and structures.

With the introduction of the Land Reform bill in 2003 and the increasing number of outdoor access activities, our aim is to facilitate access for all types of user groups from a family walk in the park to Munro bagging, cycling, running or horse riding. Also facilitating sporting events for Scotland’s estates and landowners.
