Mountain Visitor Centre

Groundwork

MOA were awarded a contract in Oct 11 to create the new mountain visitor centre at Ben Lawers. The aim was to re use the material from old car park which was in dis a ray and create a new one in a location where it would be less obtrusive, the car park will include stone built shillings with interpretation, new gates, fencing, footpaths and a tarred road entrance. As photographs show work has commenced on the formation work. We stripped the turf from the new location setting it aside for use in reinstating the old car park. The car park will be made up of four bays and the majority of materials are in place.

Unfortunately the snow arrived in December so we had to pull of site due to return at the beginning of march. On completion of the project we will up date the web site with the finished car park, shilling's and associated works.
